Step-By-Step: the Mohawk Braided Ponytail

The mohawk braid is this season’s must have look. Learn how to create the ultimate cool-girl hairstyle with our four-step guide.

1

DIVIDE YOUR HAIR

Brush your hair into three sections, clip the sides behind your ears and sweep the middle section back to create your braid.

2

FISHTAIL BRAID

To create a fishtail braid, start as close to your forehead as possible and split your hair into two sections. Then, split your hair into four sections. Take the outermost sections of hair and cross them over one another. Re-grip your hair to tighten your braid and continue weaving your hair to where your ponytail will be. Secure your fishtail braid with a hairband.

3

PONYTAIL

Gather the rest of your hair into a ponytail and join it with the braid.

4

WRAP IT UP

For the finishing touch, take a strand of hair and wrap it around your hairband to hide it. Secure with a hair grip. Finally, add shine by running a serum through your ponytail and spritz some hair spray to keep the look in place.
